FXCM MT4 is diabolical,
off quotes, slippage, you name it they do everything they can to stop you trading profitably.
I was with ODL before FXCM took them over recently. ODL were not the best by any means (crazy spikes / stop hunting etc) but at least ODL opened and closed trades instantly.
With FXCM it is a case of hold your breath and hope that your order to close a trade with profits gets executed.
Utter rubbish.
DO NOT USE FXCM there is no excuse for the things they do.

This broker really sucks. There execution is really slow. They say they are a STP, well it should not take 5 to 10 seconds to excute a trade. Plus they are affiliated with PrimeFX and there reviews are bad, their website sucks and so does there customer service. I would say find another broker and take 3 pip spread cuz with the pour execution u will be paying more. This company is nothing but lyes.

Well I have been with FXDD for I suppose 4 years now. I see no reason to leave. They have fast execution and they are quick to process my money requests. I can understand the negative feedback? I can believe it either I have been with them for too long. If there is an error usually it is me that made it. Some people need to own their trades and their decisions and stop blaming the broker. No broker is perfect and FXDD is no exception to this rule but if I were getting constant re-quotes like other brokers I have tried or high fees I would be gone very fast.
If your looking for a good broker look no further if your looking to blame you will never be happy with any broker.

I have been with OANDA since August of 2005. I usually don care about rating a company unless it is Terrible or Excellent.
OANDA has gone through its growing pains and are significantly better now then before. For those of you bashing this company, try going to another...youll find just as many and usually more problems.
There are two kinds of traders, amateurs and professionals. I find more often then not that the ones struggling to make-it in this business are the first to blame their tools.
If you have over million dollars to trade, you should be dealing with an ECN, not OANDA. If you are just starting out (breaking even/traded demo for at least a year), I would recommend having a few live accounts with several different brokers and test their trading in real money situations, test their withdraw methods and timeliness. What you will find is OANDA is at the top of the list when it comes to which one youd like to put the largest chunk of your money with.

Hi there, I can see why their regulation from Mauritius FSC was suspended , I can prove that they closed my positions with off market quotes or just killed the positions, but I can surely say that when you are making profit or the market takes a clear trend is is impossible to close a deal or to execute one. As far I can see, I wish them a good vacation with all their clients money .

Can not take my money back.

I worked with this broker a month ago with an initial deposit of $4500 dollars when I needed a broker, accepting PayPal and doesn interfere with earning, if any profit on the account.
At first I tried to trade mini futures (on the Net advised futures as reliable, independent tool from broker) on the platform Strategy Runner, but I didn like it. I think the platform is one of the worst - malfunctions and difficult to understand. In the end, I was working on MT4.
Forex in NordFX comes out not expensive and much nicer. Im satisfied the execution - within a 1 second. This is makes the work cheaper, not to mention fact that to enter and exit the market without the normal slippage is more than real. The stops go without slipping (except for reasonable gaps). It was, that GBP stop opened with slippage in gap, caused by 5-7 minute lack of quotes, they apologised and compensated for 15 minutes!
But real, Its all small stuffs, as for me, the most important thing is that despite the stable profit, there has been no interference in trade. The withdrawal of a $2500 with pennies from profitable account took three hours, after that no changes in service.
Im a scalper and Im fully satisfied with Nords work.

Ive being using this broker for more than 4 month. MT4 is very unstable and can not be controlled by the manual or stop/take profit orders. Its only good when market is slow and profit is small. They do say sorry for lost opportunities because of technical issues, but it does not help. Resolution center is not working well too. You can wait a favorable decision forever. Sometimes funny things happen too. My take profit 25 pips position was closed with more than 120 pips profit and boost my account to the sky for a little bit, but I lost it all in just a few days latter because constant Off Quote messages when you need position get closed.
Don trust these people!!! There is a big game going on against customers. Id love these people being taken to the court for all the scams they done.

Sorry to see Jade drop US clients, but they were absolutely trouble free and honest. My deposits thru paypal were credited within an hour and when they closed my account, I receieved my funds via wire transfer within 18 hours. With low spreads and quick execution, it was hassle free. I was a very happy customer.

I have traded with these guys for 3 years now. Sometimes profitably and others not. Some losses are due to emotion and errors on my part, but for anyone trying to trade with these guys should be aware of the following: Btw I trade equity indices Aussie Cash, UK FTSE Cash and US SP500.
1. Dealing: Dealers are dealing against you until the aggregate dealing positions reach a risk level when they hedge. So within the first few minutes/hours of putting on a trade the dealers will move the market to get someoen to go against your position so hey are hedged or try to hit your stop.
VIP: unlike an real world setup when these people quote you a two way price they are not really dealing. They can opt to not take your hit and make you try again. In the real world when someone quotes you a two way for a value they have to take it if you hit them. This is very important when you are dealing bigger lots. IG wont mess with you if you are a small timer they expect your tight stop will kill you (explained later).
2. Charts: Daily charts for equity markets are all wrong. The closing price is not the price the actual market closed at. It is some arbitary time that IG decides. So if you are looking for double bottoms, tops or support and resistance dont use the IG charts.
3. Stop losses. Dont trade intra day unless you are feeling lucky. If you set a stop loss around 15-20pts away from the current level and are trading anything above 5 lots expect your stop to get hit. The platform sometimes closes the market for trading for a few minutes and hits your stop. If you are close to your stop, they will hit you. Remember the dealers get paid to stop you out and maximise their profit ie your loss. The last thing they want todo is hedge out your position in the real market.
4. Real market: I have access to blommberg at work and have seen IG dealing sometimes as much as 15pts away from the market. IG advertises 1pt spreads for Aussie indices. In reality in a trending market they are at least 3-4pts in the direction of the trend. For example if the real market is at 4505/06 and falling they will quote you 4500/01. Call them up and they will ask you to bet aginst them, youd have to be crazy to go long a falling market. If you go short, the dealers have the ability to show a big uptick and still be able to hedge out at break even.
How to make money: DONT TRADE DALIY or intra day. You need to have big stops and target big profits ie 1% downside vs 3-5% profit targets. So basically plan your trade on a weekly or monthly basis. They whole theory of set tight stops etc is exactly what the dealers want you todo and they will kill you almost every time. Have a look at any IG HLOC chart for the hours an equity market is open and you will see higher highs and lower lows that the underlying market. That is the dealers spread of sorts.
General: These guys will use every trick in the book to make you close your position or hit your stops. You need to trade different to the crowd to succeed. So you essentially have two issues to contend with 1) getting the direction and timing of the market right, 2) getting over the
eal IG spread my guess is this is anything from 15-25pts.
My biggest gains: Short SP500 10 lots held for 3.5months. Came clost to my stops a few times. I added $75k and increased my stop so far out that the S&P would have to go to an all time high and then some to hit it, and the maket started trending down again in line with what was on bloomberg.
My biggest loss: FTSE 15 lots held overight in an uptrending US market. FTSE amazingly fell 35pts while the US kept rallying (at around 5:30am Sydney time) hit my stop and rose 55pts by 5:33am.
Platform: Generally works well, issue is the dealing and fake chart patterns.

In my humble opinion fxpro is the best fx platform on earth! Before you pillory me; here is why:
1. I have been trading with fxpro since 2008 without any major problems; just the usual hiccups such as server freezing for a few minutes (and that doesnt happen often) and requotes at times expecially during highly volatile news sessions
2. I have personally deposited over $200,000 at different times and I have withdrawn funds many times as well without problems. But once it took 9 days for my funds to be credited to my credit card account; I complained and they acknowledged it was their fault.
3. I have earned well over $50,000 in commission as an Introducing Broker; without fail they deposit my commission into my account latest by the 3rd day of every new month. Plus they are very transparent; I have online real-time access to monitor my commission as I earn it.
4. They have the best and tightest spread in the industry; I noticed there are so many novices on this blog who mistake the pippets as pips.
5. They have courteous and prompt customer support.
6. Account management (including funds deposit and withdrawal) is paperless; online real-time access

I made withdrawal on may 2010.. and now its june and i still didnt get my money.. i m very disapointed with this broker.. i hope once i get my money, i will move to another professional broker. to members here.. please dont joint prime.. this broker has not neough money to pay clients.. they alway making delay delay and delays.. im getting sick of this...

I opened an account with them 4 weeks ago, opening an account is easy and fast. I deposited 1000 EUR and made a good profit - the execution was always fast - without any requotes. Then I decided withdraw some profit and get it into 24 hours to my LR account. For me absolutely great, they have a partner in Austria and their live support also speaks german. I will definetely recommend them.

Ive been live with ATC for almost a year now and have no complaints. Commissions seem fair, spreads are low and execution is fast. Because these guys act as a proxy between me and FXCMUK, they are able to catch any funny business. In the last month or so, I had a couple positions orphaned (not sure of the technical term or what the exact issue was) and Dave at ATC caught it immediately, closed out the positions, and opened a refund case with FXCM on my behalf for which I was refunded ~$175. In a year, thats the only strange occurence Ive seen and it simply strengthened my confidence in ATC.
The demo platform has some issues from time to time, nothing that noticable. But, I wouldn base how they are on the demo platform, except for maybe spreads and overall feel.
They rotate the Account History in MT4 monthly, so I would like to see that kept longer. But, Ive gotten into a routine to export that data. And, I think thats pretty standard with a lot of brokers.
I run almost parallel MT4 environments with ATC and a non-ECN broker and am profitable only with ATC.
Anyway, I highly recommend ATC. Good luck.

Worst broker. Its almost 14days and i still have not received my withdrawal amount. Emailed their accounts department numerous times but none was replied. online chat is even worst. They don answer your questions. All they say is withdrawal takes 2-3 business days to credit. Useless broker. Pls stay away
