FXCM MT4 is diabolical,
off quotes, slippage, you name it they do everything they can to stop you trading profitably.
I was with ODL before FXCM took them over recently. ODL were not the best by any means (crazy spikes / stop hunting etc) but at least ODL opened and closed trades instantly.
With FXCM it is a case of hold your breath and hope that your order to close a trade with profits gets executed.
Utter rubbish.
DO NOT USE FXCM there is no excuse for the things they do. |

Ive being using this broker for more than 4 month. MT4 is very unstable and can not be controlled by the manual or stop/take profit orders. Its only good when market is slow and profit is small. They do say sorry for lost opportunities because of technical issues, but it does not help. Resolution center is not working well too. You can wait a favorable decision forever. Sometimes funny things happen too. My take profit 25 pips position was closed with more than 120 pips profit and boost my account to the sky for a little bit, but I lost it all in just a few days latter because constant Off Quote messages when you need position get closed.
Don trust these people!!! There is a big game going on against customers. Id love these people being taken to the court for all the scams they done. |

I have been trading with FXCM/MT4 for a month.
I am surprised to see so many bad reviews about FXCM.
In one month , I doubled my account which is less than 10K to begin with.(I am a Quant developer )
Slippages: Yes some times I observed them , its like 30% of time.But thats not deliberate.Its natural for market orders to have slippage.The slippage is upto 3 pips.
I observed the same sort of slippage with Alpari US too , (upto 2 pips)
MT4 connection loss:It happened 2 or 3 times , each time for few seconds.
I am no way affiliated with FXCM .This is my honest review.
If you expect tight spreads and don use EA , better use their trading station platform
If you are looking for a good broker , use FXCM or Alpari.Both are good. |

i have been trading with fxcm for several months now. i havent had a problem yet. i have yet to wait more than 2 minutes with costumer service either.bottom line is it is a good broker, it just comes down to whether you now how to trade or not. anyway i am switching to their mt4 platform today, i will update this after some thorough analysis. |

To all traders:
These people change your order timings to make sure some profitable trades do not execute. I took screen shots and I had proof and still they would not acknowledge.
They are thieves. Sometimes you cannot place an order; you get a pop up message : order canno tbe executed. Sometimes you cannot place a mrket order especially during news.
You get a lot of :order pending and they will close it at th eleast favorable price. What can you do then? complain?
try... see what happens.
Platform freezes are frequent if you start making money...
And the list goes on.

Im an early-intermediate trader when it comes to forex. Played with FXCM demo, now first day with live account. I used Forex.com before. FXCM resources are much more comprehensive, and Im happy with the service at this point. I had no issues trading today even during news events. I love their charting software (was using MT4 which sucks in comparison, and Im not interested an EA at this time). Stops were properly executed. Courteous service helping me get account setup. All around I hope this continues because not having to worry about broker issues makes it more fun to trade. Not sure if the no dealing desk is fully truthful, but I was on a dealing desk before and did ok (as a novice), so either way I think Ill be good. Im recommending this broker. Ill check in again every few months with experiences. |

Really a bad broker . The MT4 plattform is a MARKET MAKER broker wor trade against you . I have been trading for 2 weeks with several EAS , all of them with DELAYS in opening and closing orders , and 60% of messages of OF QUOTES , so oreders rejected . Last day I tried to closed an order manually , but IMPOSSIBLE to do it , again the message of of quotes and the order rejected . After 2 hours trying to close the order , I called to fxcm in USA for a dealer closed to order by me . In fact , the MT4 plattform has not the option of instant order , but only the option of MARKET order , and bellow the option a message that the order will be QUOTED by a DEALER , SO , IT IS FALSE THAT THEY ARE NDD DESK ,they are market makers dealers trough an mt4 plattform provided by Boston Technologies . Even more , a fail in the Auto fxcm syncro causes I have now 49 usd less in my balance , and they have not still refunded in my account when the system should have been refunded it because it is not a charge causes for a trade , but for an adjust of balance of fxcm. Incredible . Terrible and bad broker , after two weeks I opened my account , I,m going to close it and ask for the refund of all of my balance. |

Ive tried FXCMs MT4 (Boston Technologies) and Trading Station II. Both are unfit for the serious trader.There have been multiple system outages in just the past few weeks. When the outages or ad ticks occur, FXCM claims they are isolated instances. That is not true. Ask for their records of outages.
Ive had an account with FXDD as well for over two years now. Although their spreads are a bit higher, I have not experienced any problems with their MT4 platform. They open on time (Sunday evenings), unlike FXCMs MT4, and they offer excellent customer service. The slightly higher spreads are worth the superior service.
Stay away from FXCM! |

Hello,
I want to give my comments on FXCM. I do not have any problems with FXCM service at all. I have reviewed some negative comments about FXCM. I am not really concerned because I am in Gold Level Active Level with large funds in that account. I would never want to use MT4. I see there are lot of people using MT4 and I would stay away from MT4 myself and am subscribing tradestation and I am using different platform strategy runner for FXCM. It is ideal for experienced and veteran trader but not for beginner and novice. I usually got very good filled as well as I did place market orders or stop orders I sometimes get some slippage due to volatile and reactions from market news and economy release etc. I am getting very tight spread from fxcm in active trader level for example for EURUSD .7, GBPUSD 1.2 GBPJPY 2.4-3.5 pips EURJPY 1.2-1.6 USDJPY .5 to .9 etc these are major pairs that I usually trade and will not want to trade with large spread which it has low volume.
Again, for anyone who want to use FXCM and make sure you are experienced, have large capital, and your own strategies or methodologies indicators whatever you use then FXCM wil work fine with yours. I prefers to use strategy runner and have been using it for about 7 years. I have been with FXCM almost 9 months.

I opened an account with this broker last week and I was quite sceptical about it after reading some of the reviews on here, basically I am delighted I opened an account with this broker and hope things stay this good, not one requote in about 40 trades excellent execution, the pip spread is excellent in comparison to some other brokers and speaking of other brokers I have had accounts with some bucket shop robbers (avafx,forex metal) try these if you want requotes slippage etc.
overall I am very happy with fxcm and hope to have a lasting profitable relationship with them. |
